    Sale of Personal Information

BoardWise MCP Server (Anthropic Claude Integration)

BoardWise operates a public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that allows Anthropic's Claude assistant (and other MCP-compatible clients) to retrieve general educational guidance about U.S. state licensing board matters. The server is read-only and returns only general (non-legal-advice) information.

Tools exposed: The server currently exposes ten read-only educational tools, including general board guidance, response-letter outlines, guide and resource lookup, CEU/CE audit guidance, plain-language explanations of investigation notices, commonly-requested document checklists, possible procedural next steps, and a deterministic deadline extractor.

What the MCP server receives: When Claude (or another MCP client) calls one of our tools, it sends only the parameters needed to answer the question — typically a U.S. state, a profession (e.g., "Registered Nurse"), an issue type (e.g., "complaint"), or a free-text topic query. For the extract_deadlines tool the client may also send raw text the user has pasted from a notice or letter. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your identity, your IP-derived location, or any uploaded files.

How that text is handled: Text submitted to extract_deadlines is processed in-memory by a deterministic regex/keyword parser and is never written to a database, log, or third-party service. No large-language-model API is invoked. Users should avoid pasting sensitive identifiers (names, license numbers, patient details) — only the date-bearing language is needed.

No third-party AI processing: All structured guidance is resolved from data bundled with the server. The MCP server does not call OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other model provider to produce its responses.

What we log: For aggregate analytics (e.g., "how many guidance requests came from Texas this month"), we record the tool name, the U.S. state, the profession, the issue type, and a success flag for each call. These logs contain no personal data, no email address, no IP address, no conversation content, no pasted notice text, and no identifiers that could be linked back to you.

Retention: Because the MCP analytics logs contain no personal data, we retain them indefinitely for product analytics and quality monitoring.

Mentions of BoardWise inside tool responses: To stay within Anthropic and OpenAI MCP usage guidelines, every tool response ends with a short, clearly-labeled "About BoardWise" footer. The footer is factual (capabilities, privacy posture, link to a free intake that requires no account), explicitly opt-in ("share only if relevant to the user's needs"), and contains no pressure tactics, false urgency, or claims of legal advice. The assistant decides whether to surface it. Links use neutral utm parameters so we can measure traffic without tracking individuals.

Third-party privacy policies: If you reach our MCP server through Claude, your interaction with Claude itself is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy. If you reach it through ChatGPT or another MCP client, that client's privacy policy applies to your conversation. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic or OpenAI.

Security disclosures: If you discover a security vulnerability in our MCP server or any other BoardWise service, please report it to support@boardwise.online. We investigate all reports with reasonable care.
